Small Business Spotlight

Montclair’s small businesses are the backbone of our community, and we’re getting to know them right here.

A Neighborhood Place at Van Hook Cheese & Grocery

Our product focus is artisan cheese and salumi, and everything else that you’d need to create an appetizing spread for yourself and your loved ones. We sell platters, beautiful homewares, antipasti, conservas, and all things pickled and preserved.

The Special Menu at Montclair Diner

Did you know there are special menu items at Montclair Diner?! Eliot R. Mosby, co-owner of the Montclair Diner on Valley Road, was interviewed by the Baristanet, sharing some fun info on himself and the diner.

Dot Reeder’s Curated Styles

Laura Barker opened Dot Reeder in 2007, naming the store after her grandmother. Her aim is to “do the work for you” by curating styles that evolve with the needs of residents and fashion trends. Laura picks up trends on the streets of New York City, where she currently lives.

For every $100 you spend in your own community, nearly $70 of it gets reinvested back into our local economy.

Montclair is well-known for its vibrant culture, recreation, and opportunity. The town’s small businesses are at the epicenter of our community. However, in light of these unprecedented times, our local businesses and their owners are in need of support in-person, online, or curbside!
